May 1: Tornadoes

Tornadoes are happening everywhere. We are in an older neighborhood and suddenly a slender tunnel cloud of brown dust touches down right next to us. I am with a girl and a couple other people. (I am reminded, yet again, of why I hate tornadoes so much. I hate tornadoes, because I feel like if I were ever in a tornado situation, I would run the wrong way. I picture myself running in the exact direction the tornado is heading--which is exactly the wrong way to run in my opinion.)

We begin running away from the tornado and suddenly the girl says, "We need to head to higher ground!" as she starts sprinting up a hill right in front of us. In my head I'm thinking, "You have some serious natural disaster identification issues here." We would only want to head to higher ground in a flood, or mudslide, or possibly a volcano situation, but not for a tornado. I was even further peeved when I saw that she was running up the hill directly in front of the tornado, in the exact direction it was heading.

In spite of all of my annoyance, I was caught up in the action and dire circumstances of my dream and began running up the hill as well. Before I had a chance to do much more, I was woken up by a male voice talking on my radio alarm clock. I have to admit, I was even more annoyed by this, than by any singular, ludicrous reaction to a tornado by an unrecognizable dream girl.
